Newport Golf & CC

Newport Golf & CC was established in 1893, on a rocky land of 140-acre. This course was an idea of a rich person Theodore Havemeyer, who played golf in France in 1889 and got impressed. He planned to fix a golf course in his island of Newport. William Davis designed it as a 9 hole course. It is one of America’s oldest clubs located in the heart place of United States, ranked on top among best golf courses in the world. Nowadays this is an 18 hole course spread over 6945 yards of the area. Three types of different tees are divided according to the members’ category: red par-72 is exclusive for men while par 72 blue tee belongs to women. A white par 72 tee is assigned to the seniors. The grass of this course shows a heaving characteristic and slope, often. The leading tournaments played on this ground are U.S. Amateur Championship and U.S. Open in 1895. It also watched the Women U.S. Open championship of 2006. The best golf course of Newport is located on the scenic beauty of Newport Beach. Once, this place has been the biggest attraction for the costliest and rich tourism. Newport Golf & CC has its own etiquettes and local rules, which adds unique warmth in the environment.
